Central Transit’s ADA Paratransit Service provides safe, accessible door to door transportation for those who quality.

Central Transit’s ADA Paratransit services are for persons whose disabilities prevent them from using the fixed route system. This includes a rider’s inability to access vehicles or to independently navigate through the transit system. Services are door to door within the City of Ellensburg. Enjoy shopping, social outings, as well as rides to appointments and other essential services.

To qualify for services, apply online at www.adaride.com or call 877-232-7433. You may also call HopeSource at 509-933-2287 or visit them in person at 606 West 3rd Avenue in Ellensburg. Please note: Eligibility decisions may take up to 21 days.

Service Hours: Monday – Sunday 6:55 AM to 8:15 PM. There is no service on New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Service DescriptionADA accessible door to door shared ride transportation service within ¾ of a mile of the fixed route.
CostThe service is fare free.
Eligibility Requirements for Paratransit RidersComplete & submit application including the section from a medical professional.
Personal Care Attendants & GuestsPCA’s pay no fare & have a reserved seat. Guest’s pay no fare & rides are reserved based on available seating. Service animals are welcome.
Scheduling a RideMust schedule rides at least 1 day in advance. Call HopeSource Monday – Sunday 8AM to 4PM at 509-933-2287 or schedule in person at 606 West 3rd Avenue Monday – Friday 8AM to 4PM.
Pick-up Time NegotiationsPick-up times may be negotiated no more than 1 hour before or after the riders requested time.
Pick-up WindowThe vehicle will arrive within +/- 15 minutes of the requested pick-up. Riders must be ready when the driver arrives.
Scheduling Future RidesNo more than 14 days in advance.
Priority RidesNo priority is given based on where or when the rider travels.
Paratransit Riders from Out of Town Must present documentation from the rider’s transit agency for verification prior to setting up a ride.

All Paratransit vehicles are equipped with lifts to accommodate the boarding of persons using mobility devises or ambulatory riders unable to use the stairs.

Cabulance Service

Cabulance Service is a 24-7 non-emergency medical transportation service within the city limits of Ellensburg.

Who Can Request Cabulance Service?All requests must come from Kittitas Valley Hospital, Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue, Prestige Senior Living at Hearthstone, Prestige Post-Acute & Rehab Center, Ellensburg Police Department.
QualificationsThe rider requires an accessible vehicle.
CostThe service is fare free.
